The Warrior

This build is dedicated to the Wounded Warrior Project.

When the Wounded Warrior Project organization gave A.R.E. permission to build a project truck to represent them, they didn’t take that lightly. It was a huge honor that the organization had faith in them to represent such an amazing organization with their truck build.

A.R.E. selected the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado for this project – The totally new body style had the bold look they needed to truly showcase the build and the cause. Chevrolet is strongly associated with American pride, and that made it a good fit for the project as well. But, the truck had to be built fast. From the start to finish, the team at A.R.E. had about 1 month to build it before it needed to be loaded up for the SEMA Show. Building up a truck like this comes with a lot of challenges. For this project, the bumpers were the battle. A.R.E. couldn’t find any of the bumper manufacturers out there that were going to have the style they were looking for in time for the SEMA show. Luckily N-Fab was able to step up and with a bumper in time, and Trent’s Trick Trucks was able use his fabrication skills to modify the bumper to give it the look they were after from the original drawings. Of course this all happened a day or so before the truck needed to ship to SEMA.

When it came time to picking the rest of the products on the truck, they knew the A.R.E. Z-Series was the right fit. The Z-Series is the top of the line product and really compliments the truck. Of course, companies like MagnaFlow, Rigid Industries, Toyo, BMF, Hellwig Products, Bushwacker, WARN, Surco, and N-Fab were all natural fits because of the quality of their products. Finally, to truly capture the look needed to make this truck stand out, A.R.E. used their own Truck Vault for the bed of the truck and reached out to AutoHome US for a fiberglass roof top tent on top of their Z-Series. The overall look of the exterior of the build came out almost exactly as envisioned – the black and gray satin finish camouflage paint job is accented with fluorescent green accessories including the Skyjacker lift kit, Hellwig Sway Bars, and the N-Fab Steps. The camo green window tint helps to compliment everything as well, and the cam styling lines are followed through from the paint, to the window tint and the green camo on the fiberglass roof top tent. In the bed of the truck, green accent lighting gives a great look to the custom Surco accessories that are holding the custom painted off-road accessories including a shovel and axe. In the bed of the truck there is an educational Wounded Warrior Project video running at all times, as well as information flyers and Wounded Warrior Project Magnets available in the Truck Vault. The interior of the cab of the truck turned out amazing. The dark gray, and silver carbon fiber look on the seats and the rest of the interior are the perfect look for this vehicle. The attention to detail items on the interior include the Wounded Warrior Project badges found on the seats, the various words screen printed over carbon fiber material, and the green accent lighting, making the inside of this truck one of a kind.
